Thousand Moons” is an 80-minute video work centered on rising authoritarianism and far-right policies across Europe. The project's primary goal is to examine and highlight the impact of the recent surge in populist politics in major European countries, along with its reflection on Turkey's experiences over the past 15 years. Additionally, the project aims to explore Berlin's multicultural role as a city within this context.

"Thousand Moons" will depict a world of diversity in an eclipse. Applied to the present politics, it examines a series of recent and potentially heated events, from the rise of neo-populism to the crisis of parliamentary democracy. It traces the polarization within European societies caused by the recent pandemic and economic fallout of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
