CHROMATIC WEDNESDAYS

"Chromatic Wednesdays" is a bi-weekly event series based in Berlin, drafted by Apartment Project e.V and organized by its members visual artist Emre Birişmen and sound artist Melih Sarıgöl. Founded in 1999 in Istanbul and active in Berlin since 2012, Apartment Project focuses on global-local idea exchange, politically engaged art, and transdisciplinary experimentation. The series, entering its fourth season in 2024, will present 18 events from April to December, incorporating concerts, performances, workshops, film screenings, lectures, exhibitions, readings, and panel discussions. The main venue is Apartment Project’s space in Neukölln, supplemented by collaborations at various city locations. The series is featured by including a multidisciplinary approach, multicultural engagement with artists from various countries, a thematic monthly structure, a “two-acts” system for extended presentation, an advisory board for diverse curation, and a commitment to inclusivity and gender balance. The series emphasizes documentation and live streaming.
